Soft Walk Shoes

I am a person known to have tender feet! When I am going somewhere where a lot of walking is to be done I am almost guaranteed to end up with blisters on the bottoms of my feet from shearing or on the side of my toes and heels from rubbing. A shoe that seems comfortable when I buy them turn into monsters later!

Right now I am a Clark Shoes fan and they seem to be one of a few brands that fit and don't bother my feet. I have a closet full of shoes I cannot wear any length of time. I believe in comfort and that is more important than being stylish!

I just ran across a review and giveaway for Soft Walk Shoes. These shoes are designed with many nice features that I can tell someone put a lot of though into when designed this line. Beautiful Black Pearls

Several years ago my son who is in the Navy was stationed in Hawaii. Pearls, and especially Tahitian Black Pearls are a big deal there and a good price if you know how to barter! My son brought me a beautiful Black Pearl set in a white gold twirl with diamonds and it has become one of my favorite pieces. I have purchased several pairs of earrings to go with it. My Mixed Nuts

Recently I won 2 different bags of trail mix from Peaches and Cream Giveaway site and My Mixed Nuts. I am a big trail mix fan and eat some almost daily as a protein boosting snack. Bea's Gift Baskets

I would like to share with you my great experience with Bea's Gift baskets! I was fortunate enough to win a Father's Day gidt basket through Mommy's Memorandum Blog giveaway site at

The Father's Day Basket arrived promptly and was very cute and attractive and I couldn't wait to give it to him! So Father's Day arrived and he was presented with his gift! He really liked it and immediately, like a school child, tore open the packaging. Inside the basket were various goodies. Some were tasty but there was an issue with several items being stale and just not good at all. DH was a bit disappointed.

I struggled with the idea of contacting Julee from Mommy's Memorandum about the issues as this was won and not paid for. But then on the other hand Bea may have an issue she is not aware of with some of her product so I sent Julee an email. Within minutes of Bea hearing from Julee she emailed me! She wanted to make it right for me and she said she felt really bad. I hesitated as she said she would send a new basket. I told her that wasn't necessary as some of the stuff was good and the packaging was adorable and that if she wanted to do something just send a few little goodies for my DH. She asked what we would like and I finally told her coffee or something similar would be good, expecting maybe a few small flavored coffee packets or something.

A few days later the doorbell rang and the replacement was here. Boy this is a big box I thought to myself! I opened the box and inside was an absolutely gorgeous gift basket full of coffees, creamers, biscottis, and other breakfast items. I was speechless. Bea had gone totally out of her way to make amends and I let her know that! She is such a sweetheart and said this was how she wanted to make it right. I cannot tell you how wonderful the experience was working with Bea and I can truly say I personally buy from her without hesitation as her baskets are lovely and she made things more than right. She truly cares about her business and it shows!

Phd's Pocket Disc

This disc was discovered on accident and was born out of a child's school project! These discs are now being made in Guatemala and helping them earn a fair wage.

I would really love this prize for my son that is in the US Navy. He doesn't get much time off but when he does he loves to play Disc Golf which seems to be a growing sport!

The Good Ole Days

When I was in my 20's I was into the punk scene and loved the Sex Pistols. My ex-husband even sang in a Punk band called the Wankers.

Sid Viscious and the Sex Pistols were the leaders in this music scene. And his story also has become a legend with those of us old die hard fans! In years past I watch Sid and Nancy over and over again, along with the Doors! I loved these movies but hated what Sid did to himself and his life. He was so talented and had a lot going for him but his herion addiction did him in at a VERY young age and it was so sad.

I will be very interested to see this movie and this part of his life story. I was just talking about Sid to my daughter the other day!

Thumbs Up Mississippi Mud Brownies

Recently I won a box of Betty Crockers Mississippi Mud Brownies and baking pan from
http://jonbonjovious.blogspot.com/ or Mommy's Memorandum Blog.

I let my daughter prepare the brownies and she did so with ease and she baked them in the
pan also won. I actually did not have a pan that size and so many recipes call for that size
that I was happy to win that!

As the brownies were baking I was getting hungrier and hungrier from the awesome
chocolate smell filling the house. Hurry Hurry! I am ready LOL! Once they were done
and out of the oven, daughter and I were ready to hit it! My husband does not like
brownies so he wasn't interested. More for me then!

Out of the oven and into a bowl these warm brownies went, then covered with vanilla ice
cream! OMG heaven. These brownies were the absolute BEST boxed brownies I have
ever tasted. They truly are heavenly with the little marshmallow bits melted in and the
little chocolate crunchies on top and bottom!

So if you are looking for an easy and yummy brownie mix, I highly recommend the
Betty Crocker Mississippi Mud Brownies! I give them a 2 thumbs up with a twist!

UNWIND

Have you ever been really wired after a long day and can't settle down and relax. I have times where I sit and sit and get more wired and less tired. And then I go to bed because I have to and I cannot sleep. My brain is on fast forward and I cannot clear it. I go over and over things and then lay there and get more frustrated.
